FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

southeast movers

Q. How do you help us to make an International moving stress-free?

A. We are in the industry more than a decade, and moved tens of hundreds of international relocations. We start with dismantling of the furniture and at the destination we will do the unpacking and fixing of the furniture.

Q.What international shipping documents to be submitted to export a shipment?

  • The most important documents are your identity copy
  • Travel document or Passport copy
  • Copy of proof residency in UAE
  • Packing list

The international shipper should clearly understand that the shipper is responsible for the description and legality of the commodity and sufficiency of documentation submitted to an international shipment

.

The carrier's international ocean freight Bill of Lading, (the final document that acts as a title to the shipped goods) as a rule states' SHIPPER'S LOAD AND COUNT' and 'SAID BY SHIPPER TO CONTAIN'. This means that the international ocean freight carrier (and a freight forwarder who represents this international ocean freight carrier) is not responsible for information provided by the shipper on his commodity.

It is the international shipper's responsibility to provide all the necessary documents related to his international ocean freight shipment that will be required by origin and destination country officials.

Q. What time does the packing crew start and finish?

The packing crew will arrive at your home between 9am and 9:30 am nd work throughout the day. Based on the volume and Items we might finish by 6 PM.

Q.What other things that I should be prepared with?

Make sure the permission from the building management is obtained to remove the goods after packing. The power connection can be disconnected after the packing.

Q.How do I know my shipment volume? How to calculate the volume weight ?

Each item will be calculated separately and add up together you will get the volume of the shipment. The most ideal formula to calculate this you may use

The volume weight is calculated in the following method

Length (in CM) X Width(in CM) X Height(in CM) / 5000 = /166 is the volume

Example if the box is 100 cm Length | 80 cm Width | 80 cm Height

100 x 80 x 80 = 640000 / 5000 = 128 KG

If the dimensional weight is greater than the consignment's actual weight, use the dimensional weight to calculate the rate.

In-fact if it is an LCL shipment or groupage our team will do the calculation for you and give you the calculation sheet.

Q.How many crew members will be coming to pack my shipment?

We prepare for each move on a case by case basis; crew members and additional resources will be allocated based on the volume of your move, type of shipment, and if you have any additional special requirements. Normally a crew will consist of a crew leader and between 2-4 crew members.

Like if you are moving to Bahrain it takes only 3 days and if you are relocating to south America it might take around 55 days. If you could give your destination one of our move consultant will be glad to give you an approximate transit time.
